The three-language website at www.responsible-purchasing.org is a project of Traidcraft in the UK, Oxfam in Belgium and Ideas in Spain.
The US-based www.responsiblepurchasing.org, a project of the Center for a New America Dream, is home to the Responsible Purchasing Network, an international network of buyers dedicated to socially responsible and environmentally sustainable purchasing.

UK Government Projects
The Office of Government Commerce is an independent office of HM Treasury, established to help Government deliver best value from its spending.
The Sustainable Procurement Cupboard website is run by the NHS, DEFRA and the Rural Development Service. The site provides a framework for procurement professionals to find case studies, tools, primary documents, and contacts to deliver on multiple public sector targets.

Sustainable Procurement Project is a 3 year Defra Environmental Action Fund project to provide support to universities and colleges wanting to integrate sustainability into their procurement practice.
Local Government Projects
SPIN is dedicated to supporting local authorities in their efforts to procure sustainably, and provides a 'one-stop' website containing the plenty of information relating to the sustainable procurement agenda.
London Remade is a not-for-profit business working in London to develop and improve waste management, recycling and green procurement. The website has some resources and information about the London Remade Solutions consultation services.

Remade Scotland is an initiative which seeks to stimulate, develop and strengthen recyclate material markets in Scotland.
NGOs and Consultants
The Fairtrade Foundation’s website has a specific page about the Fairtrade town initiative. The Fairtrade Town Initiative now has over 240 local authority members. In each, the local council has passed a resolution supporting Fairtrade.
The website also has other pages dedicated to assisting places of worship or universities and colleges in promoting and sourcing fairtrade products.

The Sustainable Procurement Toolkit, along with the Buying a Better World report, is produced by Forum for the Future to help public sector buyers incorporate social and environmental factors into their decision making processes. You can request the toolkit through this page or download the report.
