Ethiscore's Top 20 Fairtrade products

Fairtrade Fortnight takes place 23 Feb-8 March 2009 with the call to action of 'Make it Happen, Choose Fairtrade'. The Fairtrade Foundation are urging supporters to hold an event to promote Fairtrade in 2009.
To mark the event, Ethiscore has put together its Top 20 Fairtrade products which highlights those Fairtrade brands that also come top of the table in other areas of social and corporate responsibility - brands which have a good environmental record, which respect human rights and prioritise animal welfare.

During Fairtrade Fortnight there will be a series of trade debates throughout the UK and producers will be over here on tour. You are encouraged to join thousands of others and eat a Fairtrade banana between noon on Friday 6th March to noon on Saturday 7th March to set a world record for the largest number of Fairtrade bananas eaten over a 24 hour period!

There are lots of resources that you can order or download from the website for all kinds of events and displays in your school, university, workplace, community or place of worship, to help you spread the Fairtrade message.

Download an Action Guide full of ideas from the Fairtrade Foundation website. Click here to enter events you are organising and check what else is going on in your area.
