LoveFilm, the dvd rental and video-streaming company, is owned by Amazon which took it over in 2011. It should therefore be included in the boycott.

I have used LoveFilm for quite some time now, but I am going to cancel my subscription because I do not wish to support a tax-cheat.

Can anyone suggest an ethical alternative? The Guardian newspaper used to run a dvd rental business called (I think) Sofa Cinema. Would that be a good option?

In the past I have used Cinema Paradiso http://www.cinemaparadiso.co.uk/

Not as cheap as LoveFilm but I found the service good, with good disc turn around and availability of titles.

I agree. I was disappointed to discover that the Guardian's Sofa Cinema is powered by Lovefilm. So I have signed up for Cinema Paradiso which I hope is a UK company paying its UK taxes.
