I was looking at the shopping guide to Video & PC games retailers and felt that both humblebundle store (www.humblebundle.com and www.humblebundle.com/store) and Good Old Games (www.gog.com) deserve a mention.

humblebundle gives a lot of money to various charities and often offers games DRM free (as well as Steam codes)

GOG sells DRM free games (and some videos)

Both have also helped to bringing gaming to mac and (more importantly) linux operating systems.

The only problem is I'm not sure whether the ethics of a digital-only distributor works with the usual ethical consumer criteria. But I think they deserve to be mentioned and contrasted with Steam, Greenman Gaming etc.

    Hi ethereal_consumer,

Thank you for giving us the heads up on these companies. We can make a note of them so that next time we look at this guide we can add them in.
