Crowd sourcing ethical consumption, could Ethical Consumer support this?

Ethical consumer uses ethical criteria but there are always other factors we need to consider, from price to local availability. I find socialcompare.com/en really useful for crowd sourcing comparisons. Although this website has been in a beta stage for years the flexibility of the criteria and the way all users can create and update them really lends itself to useful comparisons. You can use the items and criteria created by the crowd to create tables for yourself or publish them for all to use.

I am sure it is technically possible that subscribers to Ethical Consumer could have the option to automatically add ethical ratings in their Social Compare tables. Users of Social Compare would then see there was an option to add ethical information - although they would need to subscribe to be able to see the data. The only issue would be is the cost of the automatic link for subscribers higher than the money brought in from extra subscribers joining from the ranks of Social Compare users.

    Interested in others thoughts.
