Our usual source for market research data is the excellent Mintel.  According to a 2008 UK survey, it said that 10% of parents use re-usables, but only 2% use them exclusively.  In a different bit of the document it said that 95% of parents use disposables.

I have two questions.  Does anyone have different figures, or want to challenge these?  Secondly, what is going on with the missing 3%?

I have no idea how you would accuratley find out this information, but from the groups that I visit I would put reusable usage at around 20% and sometimes as high as 80%. But I do appreciate that I live in a relatively "middle-class" part of the Country and I think that may make a difference.

And I don't think you should take too much consideration of the 2% exclusivity - that might just mean that someone uses 1 disposable overnight but uses cloth all the other time. Ot just uses disposables for a fortnight holiday each year but uses cloth the other 50 weeks of the year.
