Ethical labelling: making good choices clearer

Join Ethical Consumer, the Social Enterprise Mark, Fairtrade Foundation, the Forest Stewardship Council, ISEAL and friends for an afternoon conference focused on the communications aspects of ethical certification and labelling.

Ethical labels are already helping to drive the steady growth of ethical consumption, but their potential to drive change is far greater.

At the conference, we'll hear how some of the most trusted ethical labels in the UK work to communicate their values. And we will reveal the results of some brand new research on how ethical labels influence consumer behaviour.

We will also debate some of the challenges that face ethical labels, such as a proliferation of schemes and risk mitigation for participating organisations.

We hope to see you there.

The event will focus on:

  • the latest consumer research
  • communications and marketing
  • the importance of labelling as a driver for change

Speakers include:

  • Barbara Crowther  - Director of Policy and Public Affairs at the Fairtrade Foundation
  • Rob Harrison - Editor of Ethical Consumer magazine.
  • Carla Tavares - Marketing Manager at the Forest Stewardship Council
