Sign the Greenpeace petition

With Arctic sea ice at a new low, Greenpeace's campaign to protect the Arctic waters from oil drilling and industrial fishing and declare the Arctic a global sanctuary is even more pressing.

Their petition already has 1.5 million signatures but their target is 2 million.

Greenpeace want to convince the UN to create a global sanctuary in the High Arctic and make the Arctic Ocean off limits to the oil industry and unsustainable fishing. They have developed a plan that can make this a reality if millions of people join us to demand Arctic protection.

Greenpeace have done it before. Just over 20 years ago, Antarctica was facing similar threats. Greenpeace led the campaign to turn the area into a global sanctuary and won that campaign. And now they’re determined to save the Arctic.

Sign the petition.
