Friends of the Earth's photo competition winners

Congratulations to joint first place winners Chris Flavin from Felixstowe, Suffolk and Wayne Beesley from Burscough, Lancashire.

They've won a year's free electricity from one of FoE's two recommended suppliers (Good Energy and Ecotricity).

Chris' photo of a houseboat at Felixstowe Ferry, powered by solar panels and a wind turbine, shows individuals can take renewable energy into their own hands.

Wayne's photo of Liverpool Bay wind farm at sunset, with waves in the foreground, captures forward thinking by a city with a rich industrial heritage.

Here are the winning entries and a full gallery of photos.
