Exciting changes to this site
What's new, what's changed and why we've done it.
We've made some changes to this website to help you access all our information more easily, including adding some new sections.
Here's the lowdown on what we've done.
New - Reports section
In the new 'Reports' section you'll find comprehensive reports on different industries.
Currently you'll find reports on banking, cosmetics, insurance, and the dairy industry; complete with all the feature articles and links to the relevant product guides.
The new Food report will be here later this week.
This is to reflect the way we now research and write the magazine. About 12 month's ago, in response to subscriber surveys, we began focussing the features and guides in each issue around a single industry in comprehensive 'Special Reports'.
New - Company Ratings section (& quick profiles)
The real power of an Ethical Consumer subscription lies in its access to ethical ratings of over 10,000 companies. So if a specific product isn't covered in one of our guides, you can easily research the brand or company behind it.
So companies now have their own Company Ratings section complete with companies-only search box.
We've also included some quick corporate profiles (which are open to everyone) for Adidas, Apple, L'Oreal, Nestle, Nike, Primark, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks and Unilever.
Renamed - 'Buyers' Guides' are now called 'Product Guides'
We're renaming our Buyers' Guides 'Product Guides' - the same name that you (our dear readers and subscribers) most often call them by when you contact us or complete a survey.
It also means that we don't have to remember to use the possessive apostrophe, the bane of the editorial team!
Renamed - Other sections
Some other sections have also been renamed to make it clearer what they are:
Positive Buying is now 'Ethical Shopping'
Consumer Boycotts is now simply called 'Boycotts'
Talk to Us is now 'Forums'
We hope these changes make things easier for you.
