Urgent action alert for international support

Since June this year, sugarcane workers from Colombia’s Cauca Region have been denouncing their intolerable working and living conditions. Since then, the sugar cane areas have become increasingly militarised and workers have been subjected to intimidation, death threats, arbitrary dismissals and other abuse.

Please take part in an alert to call on the authorities to protect the human and social rights of the workers and on the sugar cane employers to start negotiations about the legitimate demands made by the workers.

Please, go to http://www.regenwald.org/international/englisch/ and take part in this new email protest.
