Public money funding climate chaos - take action

We must tell our government that the billions of pounds of public money going into RBS and other banks must be spent in the public interest.

That means shifting away from investing in dirty development that threatens all of our futures and supporting a Green New Deal and the transition to a more equitable and low economy.

Take action now and tell Chancellor to green the banks.

Our Stop the Tar Sands campaign has highlighted how UK high street banks, including 70% public owned RBS are bank-rolling the greatest climate crime in history.

Write to RBS, Barclays and HSBC and let them know what you think of their involvement in funding climate chaos.

Ethical Consumer magazine's 20th anniversary edition has a special report on the oil giants behind UK petrol stations, their role in the tar sands, the 'resource curse' and the web of government and financial institutions that support them.
