On 31st August, Greenpeace activists evaded a massive security operation and scaled Cairn Energy's controversial oil rig off Greenland. After dodging Danish Navy commandos in our inflatable boats, the activists climbed up the inside of the rig and are now hanging from tents suspended from ropes. The deepwater drilling operations are currently suspended. Cairn recently announced a major oil discovery off the coast of Greenland, raising the spectre of deep sea oil drilling in pristine Arctic environment. Go here for live updates.
