Ebico's mission is to help those who are affected by fuel poverty. They provide energy to over 60,000 UK households and focus their sales pitch on "social mission" and "market-leading customer services".

But does their practice align with the mission?

In May 2017 Ebico's was stated to source 25% of its electricity from coal and 7% from nuclear. It was therefore marked down in Ethical Consumer's Climate Change and Controversial Technologies categories.

According to its website, Ebico Ltd. is a social enterprise and a not-for-profit. It holds the Social Enterprise Mark UK.
