In August 2018 Ethical Consumer viewed Ethical Wares website and found that it sold cosmetics.
The company stated that it was a vegan and cruelty free company however it did not appear to have any policies regarding animal testing.
Ethical Consumer viewed the cosmetic five brands being sold on its website and found three of them to be BUAV certified and one of them a Palestian soap brand which only used oliver oil, herbs and water.
The remaining brand, Heavenly Organics, did not mention animal testing or have any animal testing certification.
Ethical Consumer did not mark Ethical Wares down under animal testing as it was considered to have a policy to sell only cosmetics and toiletries not tested on animals.
However Ethical Consumer would like to see in the future Ethical Wares have a policy on stocklisting cosmetics which includes a fixed cut off date for ingredients.
