In March 2020 Ethical Consumer searched the Conscious Skincare website, which stated that the company had the Leaping Bunny logo, certified by Cruelty-Free International. This was confirmed by a search on the Cruelty-Free International website.

It also stated that it was Vegetarian and Vegan approved by the Vegetarian Society. All of its products were suitable for Vegans, with the exception of its Grapefruit Lemon and Cedarwood Shampoo which contained honeyquat. Ethical Consumer found that the shampoo was only available as part of the company’s ‘Festival Kit’, and when contacted Conscious Skincare confirmed that it was in the process of delisting it altogether.
It also stated that over 98% of the ingredients it used to create its organic skincare was certified, the only exception appeared to be ingredients that could not be certified.

The company received a positive Company Ethos mark for selling cruelty free, organic and vegetarian products.
