At the first general meeting of Ethical Consumer Research Association Limited following the adoption of its new rules held on February 2nd 2009, the following four ECRA staff were elected as worker directors.

Rob Harrison

Jane Turner

Katy Brown

Dan Welch

At the July 22nd Board meeting two Non-executive Directors were also appointed to the board.

Will Watt

Investor members may nominate candidates for the board (members may nominate themselves or another person). Nominations can be for existing directors reaching the end of their terms, or for other members, and if there are more candidates than vacancies, a postal ballot is held.

To be eligible to stand for election, a candidate must have been a member for twelve months. Full details are available in the Society's Rules.

Duties of a Director

The duties of a Director include:

* Attending Board meetings, which are currently held quarterly in Manchester

* Additional work or discussions carried out between board meetings.

* Attending General Meetings.
