L'Oreal boycott profile

Uncaged has called a boycott of L'Oreal.  It was listed as a chemical-producing company that either tests on animals itself or pays researchers to carry out animal tests on its behalf.

L'Oreal is also listed in the most recent edition of Naturewatch's Compassionate Shopping Guide (current at the time of writing) as a company to avoid.

Both of these boycotts extend to the Body shop, Lancombe, Maybelline brands as they are company wide boycotts.

For alternative brands check out the buyers' guides listed in the related pages on the left of this page.

L'Oreal is 30% owned by Nestle.

Past boycotts

The Boycott Israeli Goods campaign website no longer appeared to be calling for a boycott of L'Oréal when viewed by Ethical Consumer in January 2010.
