How to support Ethical Consumer

There are several ways you can support Ethical Consumer. We explain the financial options below.

Magazine subscriptions

Subscribing to Ethical Consumer magazine is a great way to support us.

You can buy a subscription for yourself, or set up a gift subscription for someone else. Magazines are available digitally and in print.

Our regular magazine features shopping guides to a range of everyday products and services, from food and drink to money and tech. The guides are supported by a wealth of transparent data, with detailed ethical rankings across a broad range of criteria and unique Best Buy advice, based on 35 years of research and experience.

We provide in-depth analysis based on original research and cover a wide range of environmental, human rights and animal issues in all our reviews.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to subscriber, you can also support us and our campaign work by donating any amount you feel comfortable with. This page explains how it works.

Donations for campaigns

Ethical Consumer’s work on ranking companies on their ethics and producing shopping guides is mainly funded by readers subscriptions and advertising from ethical businesses.

Because some of our wider campaigning work for political change is not directly income generating, we need to occasionally ask for donations for specific projects.

In 2026 we are focussed on raising funds to extend our work on challenging corporate power more directly beyond consumer markets. We think this could be a good way of addressing the root causes of some of the social breakdown we are seeing around us right now.

Please note that Crowdfunder pre-fills amounts for both your donation to us and their compensation. Both can be changed by typing in the numbers you want.
