What qualifies a brand as pro-Palestine in Ethical Consumer's rating system

In this article we list the companies scoring at least 90 out of 100 marks in Ethical Consumer's ‘Israel-Palestine’ ethical rating. 

Ethical Consumer researches the brand, and its broader corporate family, searching for any ties to Israel: for example, sourcing, having subsidiaries or operations in Israel, having partnerships with Israel-based companies, or working with the government or major complicit companies. We also check they weren't named in any significant reports about Palestinian human rights. The brands on the list have all passed these checks and Ethical Consumer found no concerning links to Israel. 

What's more, each company has taken at least one action in support of Palestine: see the detail beneath each brand listed.

How the scoring system works

• 90-100/100: No concerning ties to Israel and has taken action to support Palestine.
• 80/100: This usually means we have found no concerning links to Israel, but it has not taken any proactive steps to support Palestinian human rights.
• 0-70/100: In some way the brand, or its broader company group, has concerning links to Israel. This may range from producing weapons and financing settlements, to penalising staff who vocally support Palestine, sourcing from Israel, or having a distribution partner there.

What can UK businesses do about Palestine in 2026?

In 2025, Business Leaders For Peace handed in an open letter to the UK government, signed by over 1,000 UK business professionals. This was a big step: many companies who had never before spoken out about Palestine were now publicly demanding peace in Gaza.

While lots of companies have found their voices to call for peace, some are still nervous to take the next big step: to openly support the boycott of Israel, in line with the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

We often hear from company owners who, behind closed doors, say they would never buy from Israel. It shouldn't be behind closed doors anymore. If you own a business, you can request to be added to this list to say it loud and say it clear!
